737 Max: US Association Committee Criticizes Failure of Boeing

737 Max US Association Committee Criticizes Failure of Boeing

A very powerful US association committee has informed about serious weaknesses in the new aircraft which has been built by Boeing.

It has also blamed, how the aircraft of the company was certified by the regulators as they are safe to fly, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The committee of the association on Science, Commerce, and Transportation all these reports were built on evidence of the seven whistle-blowers from the industry.

It came in reply to the crashes of two Boeing 737 Max which have killed 346 people.

The plane maker stated that Boeing said they were discussing the report, and “the teammates of Boeing were motivated to speak up, whenever they face issues related safety or quality.”

It also addressed that many of the problems in the report have been publicized earlier and Boeing was working to address them with errors and faults, by Federal Aviation Administration.

The FAA on Monday stated that “it accepts all the allegations of whistleblowers seriously and doesn’t permit any revenge against the peoples those who raised the concerns of safety.”

However, whistle-blowers have upraised serious allegations but that was ignored and many lives were put at risk and it’s a frequent refrain.

The assembly report was based upon evidence from the seven popular individuals and all of them are highly qualified. Among them, one is working in Boing still and the other is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

However, they involve the likes of a former senior manager, Ed Pierson on the program of 737 Max. Whereas Martin Bickeboeller and Joe Jacobsen, a former FAA Safety engineer, established a leading role in the evolution of 787.

At the time when the company has been going through new challenges due to the increase in complexity of aircraft, the evidence cleared a disturbing picture of standards of lax manufacturing and extremely insufficient safety oversights.

Boeing and FAA have insisted that they have worked in finding out the weaknesses underscored in the report. Two of the whistle-blowers included in the list have stated to BBC that they had few concerns about the safety of 737 Max.

Risk of Catastrophic Failure-

The Report of 97 pages of Aviation safety Whistle-blower has pointed out the serious allegations about the process of FAA’s safety certifications which suffers from the excessive pressure on the staff of production and also on-line engineers.

In one case, the engineer of FAA informed his superiors about the risk that 787 is facing of “catastrophic failure because of uncontrolled fire” and the reason is the way when its batteries were installed.

However, in the year 2013, the 787 was grounded because of fore in the battery.

Whereas, the report involves various claims by whistle-blowers like, there are gaps in the process of FAA and established a design of aircraft that does not meet the recent standards of airworthiness.

It said, this authorized the fly of 737 Max while it is equipped with software- later on it has impacted on both of the crashes as that “didn’t receive a proper inspection.”

The report says, during the inspection, the flaws inside the system of aircraft were “creatively hidden” from Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
